Whether you are an experienced player looking for competitive hockey or someone seeking more recreational hockey we have a team to suit you. We have four Men's teams and four Women's teams in the West Hockey League and we offer opportunities for mixed hockey as well as recreational Rusty Hockey.

We boast a thriving Junior Academy with boys' and girls' teams, U-10 upwards. We welcome all young players to join us to train and to go on to play competitive hockey.

We make good use of the excellent astro-turf pitch and lights at Ottery St Mary Leisure Centre and the excellent facilities at Sidmouth Leisure Centre.

Junior Academy

The season has been extended

See our posts tot he right of this page for exciting news!

About our sessions

We will start the 2024-25 season on Sunday AM at Sidmouth Leisure Centre until October half-term and will then move to Ottery Leisure Centre until Christmas. We are expanding our offer to increase pitch-time and age groups  next season.  Our teams regularly take part in local tournaments through the season. Sessions are led by our amazing new coach, John Shaw ex-GB and England, supported by our squad of coaches and assistants. Exciting times! Why not join us!!!!

Hockey Camps

We have run two holiday camps so far this season for club members in the school holidays. Watch this space for our next camp.

Player Safety

Whilst parents may wish to provide face masks for their child for penalty corners, we are really pleased to advise that the club has received a very generous grant from the Keith Owen Fund  to allow the Club to provide masks for our junior teams.  We will therefore be shortly updating our player safety guidance to take account of this.  A BIG "thank you" to the Sid Vale Association for making this possible.

Club shirt

Club Junior Shirts are now available for local collection from our Club Shop at Honiton Sports. There are different collar styles for boys (round neck) and girls (V neck with collar). They are identical to the Club's men's and ladies' shirts, respectively - just a tad smaller! The shop holds a selection of junior and senior sizes and can order, as necessary. Choice of number is possible within a range approved by the Club.

Do you want to get active after being inside for so long during the lockdowns? Learn and develop new sporting skills as part of a team. Why not join us and have fun playing hockey?

We have boys' and girls' teams for all ages. Players are coached by our qualified and experienced coaches and coaching assistants.

You can find out when and where we play here, and more information about Junior Academy sessions is here.

Clubmark

We are really pleased to announce today that England Hockey has confirmed the renewal of our Clubmark accreditation through to 2026.  This means that the club is one of a select number of clubs who hold the highest standards for player safeguarding, leadership and management of the way we love to play.
